Audio Recordings of 1 Peter From the World English Bible (WEB)

There are many ways to read the Bible, but one of my favorites is reading all of a book in one sitting. This is extremely difficult to do with larger texts, but for ones that are 6 chapters or less in length, I think such a practice is very helpful. Years ago, when I did so with the book of 1 Peter, it helped highlight its many lessons about overcoming persecution.

To me, that is one of the letter’s greatest strengths, even though such a notion may not be immediately obvious. The text discusses a wide variety of topics such as responding to those in authority, how a husband and wife should conduct themselves in the family, prayer, manifesting the grace of God in its many forms, and more.

For those who want to hear a sample of what my reading sounds like, you can check out my recording of the first chapter. My next update in this series will include 1 John.
