Audio Recordings of Ephesians From the World English Bible (WEB)

Although all of the books of the New Testament contain a lot of important truths in their first chapters, Paul’s letter to the Ephesians may be one of the most encouraging. After sharing his greeting, the apostle opens the body of his epistle with a long list of spiritual blessings that we enjoy in Christ. These include being made holy, adopted as children, given favor in the Beloved, and assigned an inheritance according to the good pleasure of Him.

Remarkably, that is only a partial list. The blessings that God has given us are awesome and truly remarkable. Without them, we would be dead in our transgressions and sins, children of wrath, and separate from Christ. Thankfully, by the grace of God, we can be saved from all of those horrible things through the Lord Jesus Christ.

Throughout the book we are taught a number of both positive and negative facts that we need to know as we walk as children of light. In fact, the concept of walking is found multiple times in the fifth chapter. Some other New Testament letters also describe Christians walking in particular ways. Another similarity with at least one other text is the apostle Paul’s description of the armor of God near the end of the epistle.

You can listen to that by checking out an audio sample from the book. The next series of recordings I plan on releasing will be for 1 Timothy, which should be finished in a little over a week.
