It’s now been a month and a half since my last post about Naaman the leper. I didn’t intend to have such long delays between posts after my return to this website in November 2024. Unfortunately, these periods of inactively have now become common. Consequently, I don’t plan on posting further articles on this site for the foreseeable future.
During the time of November 2022 to November 2024, I didn’t share any public updates on the blog or what I was doing. That was a real long hiatus without any communication to you all. I am not about to do the same thing again. This time I want to be up front with each of you that I don’t plan on posting here again for at least a while, if ever.
There may be some changes in my situation, and that of my family, that could contribute toward making posting here again more feasible. However, I don’t know if those different circumstances will occur in the future. As such, I am stepping away from this website again, at least for now. I don’t know if I will return later.
One of the big reasons for this is that I don’t want to prepare my material in a halfhearted manner. I would not be satisfied with just posting a few times a year, or worse. If I am going to share new content again, I’d like it to be consistent and regular in both its timeliness and quality.
In addition to that, I’d like to point out a few other things:
- The stopping of regular posts is not because of changing religious views on my part. I am still a Christian, as is my wife. We are still together as a unified couple for each other and our family.
- My family and I are committed to keeping this website online. That way the reading plans and Bible studies will remain accessible for all to use, free of charge, and without needing to sign up for anything.
- The comment section on this post, and the other recent ones, are now closed. This is so spammers can’t fill the comment section with unsightly material. They tried to do so last time while I was away.
- Occasionally I receive a question from a reader through my About Page. If you want to send me a message, please do so there.
Outside of this website, I have one other religiously-minded piece of content to mention. About a dozen years ago I wrote a small study book on How Do I Obey the Gospel? It is available for free at Smashwords. If you want to read it, you can find it here.
If you want to see a list of specific types of posts I have prepared over the years, here are the major categories of my work that I was also to do through Christ:
- Beginning
- Gospels
- The Letters
- Other
- Old Testament
- Book Reviews
- Reading Plans
- General Announcements
- Audio Recordings (No Audio Files Are Available From These Posts)
To help you wade through the different sections, I’ve added numbers in parenthesis to the right of each blog article title. These indicate the order in which the post was published. I’ve also noted the pieces that are either a favorite of mine, or are among the most popular for the category.
I am humbled and honored to have helped some of you with your Christian walk in a small way over the years. Even if I don’t post again, I’ve already seen more people visit this website than I expected when I started it years ago. I give God all the glory and praise for any benefit this little site has had on others.
Sincerely,
James L. Hutton
